Inappropriate promotion of homoeopathic meningococcal vaccines

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia has issued a warning that homoeopathic meningococcal vaccines are being promoted as a preventative measure against meningococcal disease. Such promotion is inappropriate, as this has not been proven to give protection against infectious diseases. Only conventional immunisation provides a measurable immune response. The view of the TGA is supported by the Faculty of Homoeopathy, London and the Executive Director of the Australian Natural Therapies Association.
