UK advertising authority asks unregistered chiropractor to modify his adverts

The British Advertising Standards Authority has asked an unregistered chiropractor to modify his adverts because they were misleading. They concluded that (i) the adverts implied that he was a registered chiropractor but although he had received a chiropractic degree in the USA he was not registered to practise in the UK, (ii) his claims to offer ‘treatment solutions for many conditions including dyslexia, attention deficit with hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, dyspraxia, autism, …, skin disorders, scoliosis, epilepsy’ could improperly discourage people from seeking essential medical care, and (iii) the title ‘Dr Harry Rowe’ misleadingly implied he was a qualified medical practitioner.
