A natural fermented papaya preparation supports physiological defences: potential applications for prevention of ageing or therapeutic adjuvant in pathologies linked with age

Fermented papaya preparation (FPP), a natural health food supplement, is prepared from Carica papaya under strict quality controls (ISO 9001, ISO 14001). Scientific studies have reported the properties of FPP in the regulation of both the antioxidant and immune systems, which are the main host defence systems. Numerous clinical studies have been performed on these properties worldwide by well-known researchers, such as Professor Luc Montagnier (discoverer of HIV virus, World AIDS Research & Prevention Foundation President, Unesco, France), Professor Lester Packer (University of South California, USA), Professor Francesco Marotta (University of Milan, Italia) and Professor Mark E. Weksler (Cornell University, New York, USA). These studies have reported that FPP exhibits beneficial effects for ageing prevention and use as a therapeutic adjuvant for diseases linked with ageing. Properties are exposed and potential applications according to these results are proposed and discussed in a variety of human pathologies, including AIDS, cancer, hepatitis, ulcer, influenza, thalassemia but also in alcoholism and high-level sport.
