Updated medical guide includes new section on CAM

The updated 4th edition of the American Medical Association’s Family Medical Guide contains a whole chapter devoted to CAM. The guide, updated for the first time in 10 years and published by Wiley, cautions its readers to tell a doctor if they are using CAM, that CAM can be harmful if substituted for conventional therapy and that combining treatments can be dangerous.
