  1. Who are the intended users of the site?

The combined databases of MedicinesComplete will be useful to a wide range of academics and healthcare professionals, as well as related companies and organisations. These include pharmacists, pharmacologists, clinicians, toxicologists, analytical chemists, pharmaceutical companies, drug information centres, libraries, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, government and other regulatory bodies, academics, researchers, postgraduates and graduates.

  2. How frequently is MedicinesComplete updated?

MedicinesComplete is updated quarterly. A list of updates for each publication and a summary for the whole website can be found in the What's new? section.

  3. How can I be sure that the information published on the site has been impartially researched?

The staff of the Pharmaceutical Press are employees of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, a not-for-profit organisation that exists to serve the pharmaceutical profession and the general public. Although the Society regulates the profession of pharmacy in the United Kingdom, it is financially independent of both government and industry. Its code of conduct requires directors and employees to declare any outside interests and to report any gifts or hospitality they receive.

The major reference works published by the Pharmaceutical Press are produced by editorial teams. To minimise any risk of personal bias affecting the published information, preparation of the individual chapters combines updating or drafting by a staff editor with vetting by one or more outside specialists as well as by the editor-in-chief of the publication.

  4. Who owns MedicinesComplete?

MedicinesComplete is owned and managed by Pharmaceutical Press, the publications division of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.

  5. Can I sign up for alerts when information relevant to my field of specialisation is updated?

No. This feature is one that we are thinking of adding in the future.

  6. How do I report what I believe is an error in some information I found on your site?

Please use the Feedback form to report any errors.

  7. Can I search on a disease?

Yes. The MedicinesComplete search enables searching on a disease. You can also search a particular publication within the site, and some publications have additional features to help with this.

  8. Is the search case-sensitive?

    No.

  9. Can you suggest where else I could look for advice if MedicinesComplete doesn't provide the answer to my query?

If searching across all the publications within the site doesn't give you the answer, you can contact the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Technical Information Centre.
