When you perform a search, the results are displayed in the main document area, and a message shows how your search has been handled.

The default view is usually for results of a text search for your search term anywhere in the publication, but for specialist publications it may differ. For example, specialist interactions reference works usually default to show interactions search results. The active tab is highlighted to show which type of search results are being displayed.
To see a different set of results, select the appropriate tab.
An All publications tab is included to allow you to repeat your search in other publications. The screen is divided to allow you to see results for:
Results are sorted so that the documents that are the best match for your search are displayed first. If you entered more than one term, documents containing all your terms are shown first followed by documents containing fewer terms. An exception is interaction or compatibility results, in which search terms are tested in pairs. See interactions search for more details.
The documents are listed in pages of 50. If more than 50 documents have been retrieved, select the links at the bottom of the results list to see more pages of results. Only the top 5 results are listed for publications not included in your subscription.
The list of documents includes the titles of the documents and the breadcrumb trail which gives their location in the hierarchy. This will help you select the most relevant records to read. You will need a subscription to see the full document.
If a mis-spelling has been detected, the closest term found will be retrieved.
If you have done an integrated search from the MedicinesComplete homepage, you can click the publication link to see the complete results list for any publication. If you do not have a subscription for that publication, the details of the first 5 results will be displayed but you will not be able to access the complete documents without a subscription.
