Document display

The types of document displayed include:

Screenshot of a document

At the top of the page, the breadcrumb trail gives the position of the document in the hierarchy and there are links to the previous and next documents. Beneath the document title is a list of sub-sections for the current chapter or monograph, if appropriate. Each acts as a link to the appropriate sub-section.

In monographs covering several salts or derivatives, those derivatives are listed as sub-sections. The information common to all the substances in the monograph follows the final derivative.

Links at the bottom of the screen allow you to move quickly back to the top of the document, or to the next document in the hierarchy. The related link performs a search for the same topic in other titles in MedicinesComplete.

If the document has been displayed in response to a search, the search terms ('hits') are highlighted. If two or more search terms have been entered, a different colour is used to highlight different hits. If the search included synonyms (e.g. salbutamol/albuterol), those terms will be highlighted in the same colour.
